More about me

Before i was doing AR, i was...

a hardcore mountain bike rider since the age of 14. I got into the MTB racing scene in my late 20's while I was living in Hong Kong, I raced dowhill, XC and marathons. I developed a strong liking for long haul races. I used to be a MTB race organizer while I was in Hong Kong.

Why I adventure race?
it's one of the greatest way I know to experience the outdoors. Adventure racing is a large welcoming community which made me discover running and kayaking. Adventure racers are the only people who will go out riding on a rainy evening!

Best Mountain Bike location?

So far nothing beats the Southern Alpes in France: unlimited source of single tracks. In SF Bay area: Annadel State park, the only park near home where you it's possible to ride for almost 3 hours non-stop on single tracks.

My favorite trail for running?
I love Mt Tam trails.

Favorite Food when I am racing?
I feed myself with a batter of Hammer Perpetuem which doesn't taste great but does an excellent job at keeping me going. I'll have beef jerkies (the only beef I ever eat) and one or two tins of sardines.

What's in my water bottle during races??
Water with Nuun tabs.
